Herts Health Action with the Homeless (HHAH) aims to
improve healthcare for homeless people and promote a
better life.
The project has 3 core objectives:
• To develop specialist projects which support and care manage homeless people with multiple needs.
• To encourage a more co-ordinated approach amongst agencies and so ensure clear referral pathways and criteria avoiding the revolving door syndrome.
• To provide front-line workers with the knowledge and
skills required to understand and care for homeless people
on a day to day basis.
HHAH manages two projects working directly with homeless
individuals:
The Counselling Network – 1 Counselling Co-ordinator and 12 Qualified & Student Counsellors
across the County
The Dual Diagnosis Project – 1 part time Dual Diagnosis Worker concentrating
on Watford & Stevenage
